RW2 Development Company Partners with Welcome Group to Support Durham Tech Foundation Scholarships
Durham, NC – [April 4, 2025] – RW2 Development Company is proud to announce its partnership with Welcome Group, LLC in supporting the Durham Tech Foundation and its impactful scholarship program. The collaboration was inspired by RW2’s participation in the recent Durham Tech Foundation Scholarship Breakfast, an event that powerfully highlighted the transformational impact of education, mentorship, and opportunity.
Hosted by the Durham Tech Foundation, the Scholarship Breakfast brought together corporate supporters, faculty, and students to celebrate the achievements of scholarship recipients and the critical role education plays in shaping future leaders. RW2 Development Company was honored to represent Welcome Venture Park, a dynamic new industrial development located in North Durham, at the event.
Following the breakfast, RW2 Development Company joined Welcome Group, LLC in committing financial support to the Durham Tech Foundation’s scholarship initiatives. RW2 is proud to contribute to the Welcome Venture Park Scholarship Fund, which recently awarded its inaugural scholarship to a promising student, Ryan Chavis, Jr.
Ryan, currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Systems Technology at Durham Tech with a GPA of 3.5, shared his future plans:
“Hello, Mr. Warren!It was a pleasure meeting you! I just want to express my sincere thanks once again for everything—the Welcome Group’s generous donation and for showing up bright and early on Friday morning. Our conversation truly inspired me.I’m currently an Electrical Engineering major at Durham Tech, enrolled in the Electrical Systems of Technology program. I have a GPA of 3.5, which I expect to improve after this semester. Next fall, I’ll be transferring to East Carolina University to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology.”
