Welcome Group Commences Work on Welcome Venture Park in Durham, NC Expected to Deliver in 2024 Durham, North Carolina,
4/24/2023 – Welcome Group, LLC a Houston-based real estate owner, operator, and developer that specializes in manufacturing, lab, warehouse, and distribution facilities, has commenced construction on its Welcome Venture Park project in Durham, North Carolina. This strategic project is part of the firm's expansion into the state of North Carolina and other high- growth markets throughout the Southeastern U.S.

The Durham project seeks to attract industrial, flex, and life science tenants for the approximately 1.3 million square feet of development. The site is situated in a premier position on 160-acres on Old Hamlin Road near Oxford Road and the future North Durham Parkway, with easy access to Highway 70 and I-85. Phase 1’s development will consist of four shallow bay / warehouse industrial buildings with varied clear heights, depth, and space opportunities. Phase 1 is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
This business park will be designed with green space and natural areas creating an inviting location for its tenants. Welcome Venture Park is master-planned to accommodate a variety of businesses from small to large building uses and national logistics and warehousing, lab, and life-tech.

RW2 Development Company (RW2Devco), a Greensboro, North Carolina based development and consulting firm is handling entitlements, development, and project management for the Welcome Group. Other local consultants involved in the project are Choate Construction, Withers Ravenel, Kimley Horn, Maurer Architecture, Morningstar Law, and S&ME. The leasing for this project is being handled by Colliers International Raleigh, with the expertise of Larry Lakins, Hunter Willard and Andrew Young from the Raleigh Industrial Services Team.
